Joseph W. Hart, July 7th, 1894

On Wednesday, June 20th, 1894 at 11:37 PM, an alarm was struck on Box 63, Front & Chestnut Streets for a fire in the Burr Brothers Rag Warehouse located at 115 S. Water Street.

Hoseman Joseph W. Hart, of the fireboat, was seriously injured when he was struck by a falling wall.

Less than three weeks later, on July 7, 1894 Hoseman Hart died of these injuries.
