Kenneth Greene , September 14th, 2017
On Sunday, September 3, 2017, at approximately 1705 hrs, Lt. Kenneth Greene was discovered unresponsive in the office bathroom of Engine 37’s station. FCC was notified and a medic unit was dispatched. Members of Engine 37 provided life-supporting care while waiting for the medic unit to arrive. Medic 33 (a BLS unit) arrived on location. Along with the members of the company Medic 33 packaged Lt. Greene for transport to the hospital. Medic 10 (an ALS unit) and ES10 (EMS field supervisor) arrived on location.
Care was transferred to Medic 10 and they transported Lt. Greene to Albert Einstein Hospital accompanied by Engine 37. Lt. Greene remained in a coma until September 14, when he passed away.
