Matthew LeTourneau, January 6th, 2018
At 8:51 AM on January 6, 2018, Box 7743, at 18th & Dauphin Streets was struck for a fire at 2240 N. Colorado Street. When Engine 45, with Lieutenant LeTourneau in charge, arrived they found heavy fire on the first floor of the dwelling.
While attacking the fire, the second floor collapsed. Lieutenant LeTourneau was trapped under the rubble. Rescue operations were started immediately.
It took approximately 30 minutes to free Lieutenant LeTourneau. He was transported to Temple University Hospital and was pronounced dead at 11:07 AM.
