Edward Weisberger, June 11th, 1866
On the night of Saturday, June 9, 1866, while working on a fire at 4th and Chestnut Streets, Edward Weisberger, a fireman from the United States Steam Fire Engine Co., was struck by the tongue of the hose carriage of the Vigilant Fire Company. He was severely injured and taken to his home on Wood Street. He died there on June 11, 1866.
