Robert T. Moorehead, February 24th, 1919
On Monday, February 24, 1919 at 12:11 AM, an alarm was sounded on Box 4313, for a fire at the L. Martin Lampblack Company, located at Milnor and Bleigh streets.
While operating at this fire, Lieutenant Robert T. Moorehead of Engine 52 was killed when he fell through a skylight into a blazing kiln of lampblack.
Lieutenant Moorehead was 46 years of age at the time of his death.
