John R. Minnick , June 5th, 1925

On Monday, June 1, 1925 at 5:35 PM, an alarm was sounded on Box 2696, 30th below Chestnut Street, for a fire at Bridgemen Brothers, 30th and Chestnut Streets.

While operating at this fire, Ladderman John R. Minnick of Truck 5 lost his life when he fell from a roof while working on this fire.

Ladderman Minnick died of his injuries 4 days later on June 5, 1925.
