Frank M. Wolf, March 2nd, 1942

On Monday, March 2, 1942 at 5:45 PM, Engine 33 responded to a local alarm for a grass fire located at Richmond and Luzerne Streets.

After the fire was extinguished, Hoseman Frank Wolf was crossing Richmond Street to return the hose to the engine. He was struck by a passing automobile. The driver stopped and several of the members of Engine 33 put Hoseman Wolf into the car and transported him to Frankford Hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival due to a fractured skull.
