Frank DeHaven , September 18th, 1910

On Sunday, February 6, 1910 at 12:02 AM, an alarm was sounded on Box 485, 25th and Mifflin Streets for a fire in a one-story pig pen owned by A. McPhelan located at 25th and Point Breeze.

While Engine 47 was responding to this fire, Hoseman Frank DeHaven was thrown from the wagon and was severely injured. He died of his injuries on September 18, 1910.

At that time, Hoseman DeHaven had over thirty-five years of service in the Fire Department.

The cause of the fire was recorded as “sparks” and no fire loss was reported.
