On Monday, December 9, 1929 at 1:56 PM, an alarm was sounded on Box 3586 for a fire in fifteen one-story garages located at 430-58 N. Edgewood Street, owned by I. Cadder & others.
Upon returning to the station, Hoseman William H. Gallop of Engine 41 died from injuries sustained while working on this fire.
