Edward R. Guenther, April 21st, 1952
On Monday, April 21, 1952 at 9:57 AM, Platoon “C” of Engine 45, Truck 14, and Battalion 3 responded to a Local Alarm for a smokey fire located at 2011 N. 32nd Street.
Upon returning to the station, Hoseman Edward R. Guenther of Engine 45 advised Lieutenant Ralph Williams that he was sick. Lieutenant Williams sent Hoseman Guenther home, where he collapsed a short time later and died.
